This book can be a window into the vast field of Iranological research and the Iranians' position in the field of cultural exchanges with other nations. In the first part of this book, Koyaji has conducted a comparative study of parts of Iranian myths, legends, and epics with epics and other monuments of ancient Chinese culture, and has shown to what extent the two great and ancient cultures of Iran and China have been influenced by each other. In the second part of the book, the author has further researched and studied the comparison between Iranian myths and epics and the epic-lyric literature of Western Europe.

اين كتاب مي تواند دريچه‌يي باشد به گُستره‌ي پژوهش‌هاي ايران‌شناختي و پايگاهِ ايرانيان در عرصه‌ي داد و ستدهاي فرهنگي با ديگر قوم‌ها. در بخش نخست اين كتاب، كوياجي به بررسي تطبيقي بخش‌هايي از اسطوره‌ها، افسانه‌ها و حماسه‌هاي ايراني با حماسه‌ها و ديگر يادمان‌هاي فرهنگ كهن چيني پرداخته است، و نشان داده است كه دو فرهنگ بزرگ و ديرينه‌ي ايراني و چيني تا چه حد از يكديگر تأثير پذيرفته‌اند. در بخش دوم كتاب، مؤلف بيشتر به پژوهش و بررسي تطبيق ميان اسطوره‌ها و حماسه‌هاي ايراني و ادب حماسي ـ غناييِ اروپاي باختري پرداخته است.
