In this book, the author examines the various dimensions of the thoughts of "Rudolf Bultmann" (1884-1976), a Christian thinker. While presenting an overview of contemporary theology, he introduces various thinkers who have influenced Bultmann's thought and criticizes various dimensions of Bultmann's thought in various fields, including the history and criticism of the New Testament, existentialism, and philosophical hermeneutics. Some of the topics in the book include: the legacy of free thought, the miracle of faith, the hermeneutical mission, the theology of the New Testament, the program of demythologizing, and perspectives on theological thought after Bultmann.
