The book "Essays on the Aesthetics of Art" written by Jean Genet is one of the greatest French writers. The present collection is a selection of the theoretical writings of Jean Genet, which has a special diversity in terms of text type, theme, and writing style. While praising the artist's work, he looks at the work of art with special enthusiasm and from new and original angles. "The Aesthetics of Art" includes four important art criticisms of Genet, which were written in the 1950s. These reviews include: "Alberto Giacometti's Workshop", "Rembrandt's Secret", "Letter to Leonore Finney" and "Jean Cocteau".

کتاب "مقالاتی درباره زیباشناسی هنر" نوشته ژان ژنه از بزرگ ترین نویسندگان فرانسوی است. مجموعه حاضر گزیده ای از نوشته های نظری ژان ژنه است که به لحاظ نوع متن، مضمون و سبک نوشتاری دارای تنوّع خاصی است. او در ضمن ستایش از کار هنرمند، با شور و حرارتی خاص و از زوایایی تازه و بدیع به اثر هنری می نگرد. «زیبا شناسی هنر» چهار نقد هنری مهم ژنه را در بر می گیرد، که در دهه ی ٥٠ میلادی نگاشته شده است. این نقدها عبارتند از: «کارگاه آلبرتو جاکومتّی»، «راز رامبراند»، «نامه به لئونور فینی» و «ژان کوکتو».
