A nameless narrator passes through her life, searching for meaning and connection in experiences she barely feels. For her, time and identity blur, and all action is a reaction. راوی "ناپیدا" به‌دنبال معنا و پیوند در تجربیاتی‌ست که به‌سختی درکشان می‌کند. این زن نمی‌تواند به‌ خوبی درک کند چه چیزی دیگران را وا می‌دارد زندگی را آن‌قدر جدی بگیرند و روی کوچک‌ترین نکات و مسائل تمرکز کنند چراکه وجود خودش مجموعه‌ای از مفاهیم زودگذر است. از ارتباطی تنانه و بی‌هیجان گرفته تا مشاغلی ماشینی و سرد و خانواده‌ای متلاشی که امید هر حمایتی را در نطفه خفه می‌کند. پس تصمیم می‌گیرد ارتباط کمتری با واقعیت بگیرد بیشتر به تخیل روی بیاورد. سوآ به نویسنده و مترجم اهل کره‌ی جنوبی به‌عنوان یکی از متهورترین نویسندگان نامتعارف شناخته می‌شود و به نهاد ادبی کره کمک شایانی کرده است.
