Fakhreddin Azimi (born 1332) is a researcher and professor of contemporary Iranian history. He is currently a professor of history at the University of Connecticut.
Azimi was born in Tehran in 1332. He studied at the University of Tehran and received his master's degree from Suas and his doctorate in history from Oxford University in 1985.
Azimi was the winner of the prize of the International Iranian Studies Association in 2010. The "Mossadegh Foundation" in Geneva has also awarded its prize to the book "In the Pursuit of Democracy, the hundred-year Struggle with Autocracy in a Great Iran". Afaq Admit Azimi's essay won the best-authored essay award of the third term of the Mehtab Mirzaei Award.

فخرالدین عظیمی (متولد 1332) پژوهشگر و استاد تاریخ معاصر ایران است. او هم‌اکنون استاد تاریخ دانشگاه کنتیکت است.
عظیمی در 1332 در تهران متولد شد. تحصیلات خود را در دانشگاه تهران انجام داد، فوق لیسانس خود را از سواس و دکترای تاریخ را در ۱۹۸۵ از دانشگاه آکسفورد دریافت کرد.
عظیمی برنده جایزه انجمن بین‌المللی ایران‌شناسی در سال ۲۰۱۰ است. «بنیاد مصدق» در ژنو نیز جایزهٔ خود را به کتاب در پی مردم‌سالاری، کشاکش صد ساله با خودکامگی در ایران عظیمی اعطا کرده‌است. مقاله آفاق آدمیت عظیمی جایزه بهترین مقاله تألیفی سومین دوره جایزه مهتاب میرزایی را برنده شد.
