In this book, the author presents a revised model of modernization theory in which social-economic development, cultural change, and democratization are integrated and examined under the broader theme of human development. Although the classical idea of modernization that was developed by Marx, Weber, and other thinkers was wrong in some ways, its main insight was that socio-economic development would bring important social, cultural, and political changes. , is basically correct. Socio-cultural change is not a linear change and the industrialization of societies brings rationality, secularism, and bureaucracy. The content of this book proves that consistent changes in political, religious, social, and gender norms are taking place in all advanced industrial societies. In this regard, the book presents a model of social change that predicts the evolution of the value systems of societies in the next decade and shows that the values of the masses play a fundamental role in the emergence of strengthening democratic institutions.
