In the Holy Qur'an, there is no mention of the story of that Prophet except that: God Almighty afflicted him with physical discomfort and the pain of his children, and then he healed him and returned his children and their likeness to him, and He did this according to His mercy. , and for this purpose, he did so that his story would be a reminder for the devotees.

در قرآن کریم از داستان آن حضرت جز این نیامده که: خدای تعالی او را به ناراحتی جسمی و به داغ فرزندان مبتلا نمود و سپس هم عافیتش داد و هم فرزندانش را و مثل آنان را به وی برگردانید و این کار را به مقتضای رحمت خود کرد٬ و به این منظور کرد تا سرگذشت او مایه ی تذکر عابدان باشد.
