The Prime Minister of Pakistan and political activist Benazir Bhutto was born in 1953 in the city of Karachi. His father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto broke the tradition of arranged marriage between families and married a girl named Nosrat Esfahani whom he loved. Mrs. Bhutto's party was created after the execution of her father, who became an unquestionable defender of democracy and human rights. Mrs. Benazir Bhutto spent many years in prison and exile before her party came to power in 1988, and when she became the Prime Minister of Pakistan, she was the first woman to be appointed as the head of the elected government in an Islamic country. He was 35 years old when he took over this post and only one year had passed since his marriage.
