In this book, the evolution of Iranology and its achievements in the vast country of Russia has been briefly reviewed. The geographical area of this research is the vast territory of Russia, considering the two periods of territorial expansion from the era of the first tsar to the period of contraction, as well as the countries and territories whose Iranology flow was somehow derived from Russian or former Soviet Iranology. The time domain of the book starts from the era of Tsar Peter the Great and ends at the time of the creation of the work.

در کتاب حاضر سیر تحول ایران‌شناسی و دستاوردهای آن در کشور پهناور روسیه به اجمال بررسی شده است. قلمرو مکانی این پژوهش سرزمین پهناور روسیه با توجه به دو دوره انبساط سرزمینی از عصر تزار اول تا دوره انقباض و نیز کشورها و سرزمین‌هایی است که جریان ایران‌شناسی آن به نوعی برگرفته از ایران‌شناسی روسیه یا شوروی سابق بوده است. قلمرو زمانی کتاب از عصر تزار، پترکبیر آغاز می‌شود و به زمان تألیف اثر ختم می‌شود.
