Contemporary anthropologist David Graeber (1961-2020) presents the history of the origin and evolution of money in the book Debt. The book with this historical and geographical scope, which covers five thousand years of human history, is full of original thoughts and fascinating observations, but giving this new and fascinating description is not all that Graeber wants to do. The purpose of this meandering narrative is to finally think about how a better world is possible.
