Deliberation in the meanings of faith and freedom is from the necessities of every monotheistic religion in the contemporary world. Depending on verbal, philosophical and gnostic tradition, the present book shows that faith consists of freedom of thought and human's will. Through a new look toward the relation between faith and freedom in the Islamic tradition and comparison with Christian tradition, the author actuates the reader to reflect more on these two decisive topics in the modern society.

ژرف كاوی در معانی ايمان و آزادی از ضرورتهای هر دين وحيانی در جهان معاصر است. كتاب حاضر نيز بنا بر همين ضرورت، با اتكا بر سنت كلامی، فلسفی و عرفانی در جهان اسلام اين نكته را آشكار می سازد كه گوهر ايمان قائم بر آزادی انديشه و اراده ی انسان است. نويسنده ی كتاب با نگاهی تازه به ارتباط ميان ايمان و آزادی در سنت اسلامی و مقايسه با سنت مسيحی، خواننده را به تامل بيشتر درباره ی اين دو مقوله ی بنيادين در جهان مدرن دعوت می كند.
