The book Political Thought of Shahid Beheshti is the result of the efforts of Seyyed Alireza Hosseini Beheshti, a researcher, university professor, and son of the late Shahid Beheshti. Seyyed Alireza Hosseini Beheshti, born in 1962 in Qom, is a member of the faculty of the Faculty of Humanities of Tarbiat Modares and a member and secretary general of the Society for Monotheism and Cooperation. He is the third son of Shahid Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti. In the introduction to this book, we read from the author: What you are reading in this book are writings that the author presented over more than two decades with the motive of introducing aspects of the political thought of Shahid Ayatollah Dr. Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini Beheshti as one of the most important and influential social reformers of contemporary Iran, leaders of the Islamic movement and revolution, and architects of the system that emerged from it; a figure that most of his contemporaries know only in the scope of his political actions and character during the two years and six months of his life after the revolution, and are unaware of the broad and complex dimensions of his thought. In this new edition of Shahid Beheshti's political thought, in addition to correcting some of the errors and shortcomings of the first edition, the first article of the previous edition titled "Life and Times", which was written to familiarize readers with the historical context of the formation of Shahid Beheshti's thought, was deleted due to its publication in the book Life and Thought of the Martyr Ayatollah Dr. Mohammad Hosseini-Beheshti (Rozeneh, 2019), and in its place another article titled "Implications of Partisanship from the Viewpoint of Shahid Beheshti" was added to the present collection, which was originally presented in the form of a speech at a conference titled "Organization and Partisanship from the Viewpoint of Shahid Beheshti" in February 2008, alongside speeches by Engineer Mir-Hossein Mousavi, Dr. Seyyed Mohammad-Reza Hosseini-Beheshti, Dr. Farshad Momeni, and Dr. Mohsen Al-Vairi at the Institute for Religious and Economic Studies.
