Ibn Sina—known in the West as Avicenna—went down in history as one of the most important thinkers of 11th-century Persia. کتاب «راه اصفهان» نوعی دفتر خاطرات است که بر اساس یک نسخه خطی اصیل به زبان عربی و به قلم یکی از شاگردان ابن سینا به نام ابوعبید جوزجانی نوشته شده است. جوزجانی مدت بیست وپنج سال در کنار ابن سینا زندگی میکرده. راه اصفهان جهان درهم و برهم و آشفته ای را به تصویر میکشد که یکی از مغز های متفکر و نابغه ی تاریخ در آن قدم به عرصه ی هستی نهاد و آثاری از خود به یادگار گذاشت که جاودانه مانده اند.
