Do we have the right, at the end of the 20th century, to think about God and science together? To overcome the old conflict between the believer - for whom God is neither demonstrable nor calculable - and the scientist - for whom God is not even a working hypothesis? This is, in any case, the challenge of this book which, as a result, is self-evident: today, science asks questions which, until recently, only belonged to to theology or metaphysics. Where does the universe come from? What is reality? What are the relationships between consciousness and matter? Why is there something rather than nothing? As a result, everything happens as if the very immateriality of a transcendence became one of the possible objects of physics. As if the mysteries of nature were also an act of faith. Jean Guitton, Igor, and Grichka Bogdanov thus wanted to transform the ancient conflict between the believer and the scholar into an essential debate. Through the exchange of their arguments, and their questions, it is indeed man and his place in the universe that is at issue here.
