Jacques Lacan (1901-1981), the renowned French psychoanalyst, is one of the few thinkers of the 20th century who has had a wide impact on the sphere of intellectuals and humanities. His seminars in the 1950s were a place for the growth and exchange of philosophical opinions. He based his theory on Freud's theory and after proposing the "mirror stage", he proposed the idea of "Return to Freud" and not only explained and glorified some of Freud's innovations and reconsidered them, but also addressed the most important questions and Ambiguous and unresolved issues in Freud's theory returned and provided a new way of expressing and interpreting these issues and their meaning in the theory and practice of psychoanalysis.
