The secret of Resolution 2231 was consulted by all the unified powers of the contemporary world, both after the Second World War and before, with the initial draft of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which was once the "supplicant" of that "desiring" power, to show where Iran stands in the contemporary world. The present narrative is a "saying" book that the creators of this narrative tried to add to the further documentation of that text with their own words. In reading the negotiating sections of the book's original text, they retold their language so that the whisper of their narrative, as it was read to foreigners, would also be heard and remain in the ears of the children of Iran. The secret of the heart is only a summary of the efforts of the negotiating team; But the great effort that made Iran's rights, security, and development a proposition of its own was the intelligent leadership of this process by the authorities and the continuous evaluations of compassionate experts who worked in the technical, legal, political, and media committees of this path alongside the negotiating team, or who diligently and carefully monitored the problems and ambiguities of the paths taken in the country, far from creating unfair atmospheres, and allowed the authorities to benefit from their expert knowledge in making difficult decisions, to communicate the principles of negotiations, to draw red lines, and to approve the necessary strategies. In compiling the present collection, the authors of this work also had another mission in mind: to speak to future generations, the "children of Iran," who would know that to preserve the achievements of the glorious Islamic Revolution, the efforts and sacrifices of the learned men and women who were the pioneers of science and technology are essential. Preserving the achievements whose saplings were watered with courage and bravery to the point of martyrdom by men in the field such as Martyr Saeed Soleimani and the nuclear martyrs and in the latest example, Martyr Dr. Mohsen Fakhrizadeh is a very heavy responsibility; therefore, with these two principles in mind, the owners of this work tried to implement requirements that would establish Iran's "rights", ensure its "security", and guarantee its "development".

راز سر به مهر، یک «راز» مهم را برای تاریخ معاصر می‌گشاید: «خودباوری». تجربه مذاکرات آنگونه که مقام معظم رهبری با آن موافقت نمودند، آزمونی بود در مسیر افزایش سطح آگاهی و خرد ملی ایرانیان که دل‌بستن به شرق و غرب سیاست، عبث است. آرمان انقلاب اسلامی نفی قدرت استکبار برای حفظ استقلال کشور بود. مذاکراتی پیوسته با پنج کشور فائق پس از جنگ و قدرت مسلط نظامی پیش از جنگ جهانی دوم آلمان که اراده آنان برچیدن توان هسته‌ای کشور بود و در این مسیر با سازوکارهای حقوقی پی افکنده شده از همان دوران جنگ، حصاری سخت را گرد ایران برکشیده بودند، یا تحریم‌هایی ظالمانه را به صورت فردی و جمعی وضع می‌کردند، برای نخستین نوبت این امکان را فراهم ساخت تا آرمان انقلاب ایران در عرصه دیپلماسی تحقق یابد. اراده ملّی ایرانیان این بار بر بنیان همان ابزار و نظامات برساخته پس از جنگ جهانی دوم، غالب شد. قطعنامه ۲۲۳۱ از سوی همه قدرت یکپارچه جهان معاصر چه پس از جنگ دوم و چه پیش از آن با انشای اولیه جمهوری اسلامی ایران که روزی «خوانده» آن قوه «خواهان» بود، به مشورت گرفته شد تا نشان دهد در دنیای معاصر، ایران در کدامین تراز جای دارد. روایت حاضر کتابی است "گویا " که آفرینندگان این روایت با بیان خود کوشیدند در مستندسازی بیشتر آن متن بیفزایند. آنان در خوانش بخش‌های مذاکراتی متن اصلی کتاب زبان حال خود را باز گفتند تا نجوای روایت ایشان آنگونه که در برابر بیگانگان خوانده شد، در گوش فرزندان ایران زمین نیز شنیده و ماندگار گردد. راز سر به مهر، تنها مختصری از کوشش هیأت مذاکره‌کننده است؛ اما آن اهتمام سترگی که حقوق، امنیت و توسعه ایران را پیشنهاد همت خود ساخت، رهبری داهیانه این روند توسط مسئولان امر و ارزیابی‌های پیوسته کارشناسانه دلسوزانی بود که در کمیته‌های فنی، حقوقی، سیاسی، رسانه‌ای این مسیر در کنار هیأت مذاکره‌کننده کوشیدند و یا در کشور با سختکوشی و دقت نظر، به دور از جوّسازی‌های نامنصفانه، اشکالات و ابهامات مسیرهای پیموده شده را رصد کردند و اجازه دادند که مسئولان امر در تصمیم‌گیری‌های سخت، از دانش کارشناسی آنان بهره‌مند گردند، اصول مذاکراتی را ابلاغ کنند، خطوط قرمز را ترسیم دارند و راهبردهای لازم را تصویب نمایند. در تدوین مجموعه حاضر یک رسالت دیگر نیز مورد نظر صاحبان این اثر بود: سخن گفتن با نسلهای آتی، «فرزندان ایران» که بدانند برای حفظ دستاوردهای انقلاب شکوهمند اسلامی، کوشش‌ها و جانفشانی دانشی‌مردان و زنانی که پیشران علوم و فنون بودند، واجب است. حفظ دستاوردهایی که نهال آن با شهامت و شجاعتی تا مرز شهادت‌ها از سوی مردان میدان چون شهید سعید سپهبد سلیمانی و شهدای هسته‌ای، و در آخرین نمونه آن، شهید دکتر محسن فخری‌زاده آبیاری شد، مسئولیتی بس گران است؛ لذا با عنایت بر این دو اصل، صاحبان این اثر کوشیدند الزاماتی را به کار گیرند که «حقوق» ایران تثبیت، «امنیت» آن تأمین و «توسعه» آن تضمین گردد.
