ʿArabīyah fī Īrān: al-Īrāniyyūn kamā lam naʿrifhum: Arabic 2024

In the many writings about Iran, ordinary Iranians—those who aren't politicians, celebrities, or prominent dissidents—are often absent, and whom we encounter on the streets, in shops, and in taxis. This book seeks to fill this gap, exploring the lives of these people: how they live and think, their fears and hopes, and how they express themselves. Through her experiences, observations, and memories from her four-year stay in Tehran, the author presents a portrait of Iranians as we've never seen them before, with all their looks and voices. Nada Al-Azhari is a Syrian writer, translator, and film critic. She has worked for newspapers such as Al-Hayat and Al-Araby Al-Jadeed and has served on international film juries.
