The present book is the second book of "Zahra Taj al-Sultaneh", the daughter of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. In this book, which is a fictional account of his life and his surroundings, Taj al-Sultaneh tried to present a picture of Iran during the Nasrid era. Parts of this work were written or rewritten at the beginning of the Pahlavi rule, and in these parts, effects of the new era can also be seen. The importance of this book, in addition to the historical aspect, is that the image presented of Taj al-Sultaneh as a careless woman gives way to a virtuous woman with principles of manners and ethics who thought about the important issues of Iran and had plans to reform things.

کتاب حاضر، دومین کتاب از «زهرا تاج‌السّلطنه»، دختر ناصرالدّین‌شاه قاجار است. تاج‌السّلطنه در این کتاب که روایتی داستانی از زندگی خود و محیط پیرامونش است، تلاش کرده تا تصویری از ایران عهد ناصری ارائه کند. بخش‌هایی از این اثر در اوایل حکومت پهلوی نوشته یا بازنویسی شده و در این بخش‌ها، جلوه‌هایی از دوران جدید نیز دیده می‌شود. اهمّیت این کتاب، علاوه بر جنبة تاریخی، آن است که تصویری که از تاج‌السّلطنه به عنوان زنی لاابالی ارائه شده، جای خود را به زنی فاضله و مبادی آداب و اخلاق می‌دهد که به مسایل مهمّ ایران می‌اندیشیده و برنامه‌هایی نیز برای اصلاح امور داشته است.
