The present book contains the thirty-one of the Lover's Letter and the thirty-one of the Beloved's Answer, and the description of the circumstances and events between the two, which are left over from the Qajar period. کتاب حاضر حاوی سی‌ویک نامۀ عاشق و سی‌ویک پاسخ معشوق، و شرح احوال و وقایع میان این دو است که از دورۀ قاجار بر جای مانده است. در این نامه‌ها از سوز دل عاشق و جلوۀ معشوق نشانه‌های متعددی است و علاوه بر نثر، از شعر فارسی هم در نگارش آن‌ها بهره‌یابی شده است. تصحیح این کتاب بر اساس نسخه‌های خطی موجود در کتابخانه‌های معتبر ایران انجام گرفته، و نام گویندگان شعرها نیز به دست داده شده است. کتاب نامه‌های عاشق و معشوق در دورۀ قاجار مجموعه‌ای است بسیار خواندنی که هم دوستداران آثار عاشقانه، و هم علاقه‌مندان ادبیات فارسی از مرور آن لذت خواهند بُرد.
