The oldest bath whose characteristics have been mentioned in the history of Iran is a bath that was built with the efforts of "Nasser Khosro Qobadiani", a free-thinking Iranian poet. Baths were mostly built along the main passages and next to reservoirs and neighborhood centers. In this book, the author tries to examine the history of building a bath in Tehran from a historical point of view and explain the bathing customs. It is also presented in the book of Hamami proverbs.

قدیمی‌ترین حمامی که در تاریخ ایران از خصوصیات آن سخن به میان آمده، حمامی است که به همت «ناصرخسرو قبادیانی»، شاعر آزاداندیش ایرانی ساخته شده است. حمام‌ها بیشتر در مسیر گذرهای اصلی و بیشتر در کنار آب‌انبارها و مراکز محلات ساخته می‌شد. نویسنده در این کتاب، تلاش دارد تا از نگاه تاریخی، پیشینه ساخت حمام در تهران را بررسی و آداب استحمام را بیان نماید. همچنین در کتاب ضرب‌المثل‌های حمامی نیز ارائه شده است.
