What is now being translated and presented under the title of Rizal of Fars in the last Qajar period is the biography of 361 people of Rizal of Fars and some other officials who played a role in Fars during those years and each of them interacted or confronted the authorities in some way according to their political and local situation. British military and political forces in those days had significant influence and presence in the southern parts of Iran. In addition to the biographies of the aforementioned nobles and some of the various lists such as a list of governors of Fars and governors of ports or a collection of various genealogies, implicit and implied references to a series of local events in this period also add to the value of this collection as an important historical source.

آنچه اینک تحت‌عنوان رجال فارس در واپسین دورهٔ قاجار ترجمه و ارائه می‌شود شرح حال ۳۶۱ نفر رجال فارس و پاره‌ای از دیگر مقاماتی است که در آن سال‌ها در فارس نقش‌آفرین بوده‌اند و هر یک بنا بر موقعیت سیاسی و محلّی خود به‌نوعی در تعامل یا تقابل با مقامات نظامی و سیاسی بریتانیا که در آن ایّام نفوذ و حضور چشمگیری در صفحات جنوبی ایران داشتند. در کنار شرح‌حال رجال مزبور و پاره‌ای از فهرست‌های مختلف مانند فهرستی از والیان فارس و حکّام بنادر یا مجموعه‌ای از شجره‌نامه‌های گوناگون، اشارات ضمنی و تلویحی به مجموعه‌ای از رخدادهای محلّی در این دوره نیز بر ارزش این مجموعه به‌عنوان یک مأخذ مهم تاریخی می‌افزاید.
