In this book, based on the role of mythological ideas, Christopher Vogler provides a model for screenwriting that connects the art of writing with a way of living and understanding life experiences that include both the author and the audience. In this way, the author builds on the model that Joseph Campbell, an American mythologist, presented under the title of the myth of the hero's journey, a model that emerged based on the general form of many narratives and mythological stories of different nations. In the first part of the book, the author introduces the faces or characters of this journey, and in the second part, he describes the stages of the journey. In addition to the many cinematic examples that are referred to throughout the text, Vogler also analyzes films such as the popular story of Shir Shah and Titanic based on this model with more detail.
