کتاب حاضر از آثار داستانی ادبیات کره است. شخصیت اصلی کتاب پسری به نام یون است که با یک بیماری مغزی به نام «آلکسی تایمیا» به دنیا آمده. این بیماری به شکلی است که برای افراد مبتلا به آن بروز احساساتی مانند ترس یا خشم سخت است. در شب سالگرد تولد 16 سالگی یون اتفاقی برای او پیش می آید. گون نوجوان مشکل داری است که به مدرسه ی آنها می آید و با آمدن او همه چیز برای یون رنگ دیگری می گیرد؛ دنیای او در هم می شکند، پیوندی جذاب میان آن دو شکل می گیرد و زندگی جدیدی برای یون آغاز می شود که او را به قهرمانی مبدل می سازد که هرگز فکرش را نمی کرد.
