Living Through a Revolutionary Nightmare By 2024, as I recount the events of 14 years ago, I'm struck by how we all hoped for the regime's imminent collapse back in 2010. Unfortunately, they continue to maintain their fascist grip on power. The "Women, Life, Freedom" movement of 2022 liberated us from mandatory hijabs, yet the rulers' dictatorial attitude persists, fueling conflicts across the region. Putin, the Russian leader, openly supports the Islamic regime, which circumvents American and Western European sanctions by selling oil to China. The horrific tragedy unfolding in Gaza defies comprehension, and we now await the potential shift in American foreign policy that may come with Trump's presidency.
