Firuz Shahnameh is a folk tale about the wars of Firuz Shah, son of Darab (King of Iran), and the exploits of his son, Bahman. It is considered a sequel to the two-volume Darabnameh by Mohammad Beighami. It is an important source for linguistic studies and research into the social history of Iran and the culture of the people in the eighth and ninth centuries AH. This tale, which has auspicious motifs, is written in simple language and catchy expression, and its setting is that of ancient Iran, and the descendants of Rostam and Zal are present in it. The present book has been corrected based on the only manuscript available at Uppsala University and was originally written for public quoting.

فیروزشاه‌نامه قصه‌ای عامیانه دربارۀ جنگهای فیروزشاه،پسر داراب (شاه ایران)،و دلاوریهای فرزندش،بهمن،است و دنبالۀ کتاب دوجلدی داراب‌نامۀ محمد بیغمی محسوب می‌شود و منبعی مهم برای بررسیهای زبانی و تحقیق در تاریخ اجتماعی ایران و فرهنگ مردم در قرنهای هشتم و نهم هجری است. این قصه که دارای بنمایه‌های عیاری است، با زبانی ساده و بیانی گیرا نوشته شده و فضای آن فضای ایران باستان است و نوادگان رستم و زال در آن حضور دارند. کتاب حاضر براساس یگانه نسخۀ خطی موجود در دانشگاه اوپسالا تصحیح شده، از آغاز برای نقل کردن در جمع مردم نوشته شده است.
