The following book is Dr. Gholam Hossein Yousefi's cheerful notes on two fundamental subjects: sources and research methods in Iranian literature and culture, as well as the history of Islamic Sufism. Dr. Yousefi is a prominent contemporary writer and researcher and a distinguished professor at Ferdowsi University. His numerous works, ranging from text corrections to literary criticism and historical and cultural research, are outstanding examples of research in Persian language and literature and Iranian culture, and experts are fully familiar with them. Dr. Yousefi paid special attention to teaching and being a teacher, and considered them to be noble and honorable words. He believed that the essentials of teaching were love for work and students, treating them as one's children, and dealing with them with sincerity and compassion. However, he said that the teacher's job was not only to impart information to students; the teacher is, in fact, the creator of the student's way of thinking and character, and the behavior and actions of teachers, without their attention, are influential and effective in the future of their students and can determine and change the course of their lives.
