کتاب «شبح عمارت کراچفیلد» رمانی نوشته ی «مری داونینگ هان» است که نخستین بار در سال 2010 چاپ شد. عمارت «کارچفیلد»، خانه ای قدیمی و بی روح است اما دختری دوازده ساله به نام «فلورانس» پس از گذراندن هفت سال سخت در یک یتیمخانه، به این فکر می کند که زندگی جدیدش حتما بهتر از گذشته خواهد بود. ساکنین این عمارت علاوه بر عمه و عموی بزرگ او، شامل پسرعمویش «جیمز» و چند خدمتکار می شود. مرگ تصادفی خواهر بزرگتر «جیمز»، «سوفیا»، دلیل ناتوانی و بیماری کنونی «جیمز» در نظر گرفته می شود. اما «فلورانس» خیلی زود درمی یابد که روح «سوفیا» همچنان در عمارت حضور دارد. «سوفیا» با توصیفات فرشته مانندی که از او می شود، تفاوت های زیادی دارد: او شبحی کینه توز است که تصمیم گرفته انتقام مرگ خود را از ساکنین عمارت بگیرد.
