داستانی که در دوران پس از انقلاب و سال های جنگ روایت می شود، مرد جوانی برای تدریس درس فیزیک به پل دختر عازم می شود، او در شهر بزرگی چون تهران روزگار گذرانده است و از حال هوای شهر جدیدی که به آن وارد شده کمی دور است. در همسایگی خانه ای که برای اقامت به او داده اند خانواده ای زندگی می کنند که مردم آن ها را لوتی می نامد و معاون مدرسه گوش زد کرده است تا از مراوده با آن ها خودداری کند. اما به هر حال پای او به این خانه باز می شود، از نزدیک با اهالی اش ارتباط برقرار می کند و وارد ماجراهایی دیگر می شود.
