Regarding the political, social, cultural, and intellectual history of Ottoman and modern Turkey, despite the research that has been done so far, we are still facing a serious lack of resources. Also, regarding the intellectual, cultural, and socio-political relations between Iran and the Ottomans, it is necessary to write many texts with different theoretical and methodological approaches to minimize the existing gaps in this field. Eighteen scientific-research articles that are presented in the form of the present collection of articles can be used as teaching aids in various undergraduate, master's, and doctoral levels by students of various fields of humanities, especially history and the history of Islamic civilization.

در باب تاریخ سیاسی، اجتماعی، فرهنگی و فکری عثمانی و ترکیه جدید، به رغم پژوهش‌هایی که تاکنون صورت گرفته است، هنوز با کمبود جدی منابع روبرو هستیم. نیز درباره مناسبات فکری، فرهنگی و سیاسی-اجتماعی ایران و عثمانی ضرورت دارد متن‌های متعدد با رویکردهای مختلف نظری و روشی به نگارش درآید تا خلاءهای موجود در این زمینه به حداقل برسد. هیجده مقاله علمی–پژوهشی که در قالب مجموعه مقالات حاضر ارائه می‌شود، می‌تواند به عنوان متنی کمک درسی در مقاطع مختلف کارشناسی، کارشناسی ارشد و دکتری مورد استفاده دانشجویان رشته‌های مختلف علوم انسانی به ویژه تاریخ و تاریخ تمدن اسلامی قرار گیرد.
