The book "Salesman and Millionaire" was written by Mark Fisher (1968-) an English writer. The main character of this book is Simon Martin, who has been working in an office for five years, but one day he is fired during a board meeting. As he walks the streets in despair, he meets a beggar man, whom people call "Millionaire". "Millionaire" tells him after finding out about Simon's dismissal; He should not doubt that this was the best possible situation for him and now he should not be disappointed and go for a better job with all his strength from within and faith in it. Six weeks after Simon's meeting with the millionaire and not finding a job, Simon comes to the millionaire, disappointed with the job interviews he gave. But the millionaire helps him without really giving him a clear solution. In a part of the book "Salesman and Millionaire", we read: "It was one of those days when it is better not to get up at all. Those times when the earth and the sky mysteriously join hands to turn someone's life upside down. It's as if Iqbal also packs up and leaves at the same time, and at this moment anything can happen. Car accident, bad news, illness... It was on one of these sad mornings - of course, thinking that mornings are divided into good and bad - that Simon Martin 1 woke up. A rainy Monday since May. His watch didn't ring - maybe Simon didn't hear it either. Max, a small Lhasa dog, a small and furry Lhasa dog with a curly tail, made up for the failure of the clock and woke him up. کتاب «فروشنده و میلیونر» نوشته مارک فیشر( -۱۹۶۸) نویسنده انگلیسی است. شخصیت اصلی این کتاب سیمون مارتین نام دارد که مدت پنج سال است که در یک اداره کار می کند، اما یک روز طی جلسۀ هیات مدیره اخراج می شود. او در حالی که با ناامیدی در خیابان ها قدم می زند، با یک مرد گدا، که مردم او را «میلیونر» می نامیدند، آشنا می شود. «میلیونر» بعد از دریافتن ماجرای اخراج «سیمون»، به او می گوید؛ شک نکند که این بهترین حالت ممکن برای او بوده و حالا او نباید ناامید باشد و با قدرت تمام از درون خود و ایمان به آن، به دنبال یک کار بهتر برود. بعد از گذشت شش هفته از دیدار سیمون با میلیونر و نیافتن کار، سیمون پیش میلیونر می آید، در حالی که از مصاحبه های کاری که داده ناامید شده است. اما میلیونر بدون این که واقعا راه حل شفافی در اختیار او بگذارد، به او کمک می کند. در بخشی از کتاب «فروشنده و میلیونر» می خوانیم: «از آن روزهایی بود که بهتر است آدم اصلا از جایش بلند نشود. همان وقت هایی که زمین و آسمان مرموزانه دست به دست هم می دهند تا زندگی یک نفر را زیر و رو کنند. انگار اقبال هم، همان موقع بساطش را جمع می کند و می رود، و در این لحظه هر اتفاقی ممکن است بیفتد. تصادف ماشین، خبر بد، مریضی... در یکی از همین صبح های نحس بود- البته با تصور اینکه صبح ها به فرخنده و نحس تقسیم می شوند- که سیمون مارتین 1از خواب بیدار شد. دوشنبه ای بارانی از ماه می. ساعتش زنگ نزد- شاید هم سیمون صدایش را نشنیده بود. ماکس ،سگ لهاسای کوچک، لهاسای کوچک و پشمالوی دم چنبری اش قصور ساعت را جبران و او را بیدار کرد. طفلک حیوان بابت دیر رسیدن صاحبش به سرکار دغدغه ای نداشت، فقط غذایش را می خواست».
