The patterns of addiction and drug use and withdrawal are different for women and men, and this factor is burdened by the class and ethnicity, employment and education of women and men. For example, men turn to addiction more for fun and sexual pleasure, and women do this mostly out of sadness. Even women's addiction shows a higher rate during crises such as war and scarcity and unemployment. Knowing these women in comparison with men is useful for everyone, including community members, professionals, helpers, and therapists. This book tries to review the history of human knowledge about women's addiction from the past until now. The theoretical explanation of women's addiction, the types of addiction in women, the most common addictions of women, the addiction of teenage girls, middle-aged and elderly women, the specific social issues of women's addiction, and finally the treatment of women's addiction are among the main topics of this book. Projecting theoretical and clinical viewpoints in the field of diagnosis and recognition and facing this phenomenon along with related criticisms can also contribute to the richness of such a perception and be used more accurately. Especially, the issue of women's addiction is not separate from men's addiction and the general situation of society, and it is impossible to see these two separately from each other and try to solve them.
