He gave me the letter. I looked at the lines written on the folded paper. I don't know what I expected to see in this letter! Maybe I expected to see a line decorated with jagged letters, and maybe I expected crooked and ugly lines. The cover of the letter was normal handwriting, except that the end of the words was stretched a little and this made it difficult to read the letter.

نامه را به من داد. خطوطی را که به روی کاغذ چهارتا شده نوشته شده بود، نگاه کردم. نمی دانم انتظار داشتم چه چیزی در این نامه ببینم! شاید انتظار دیدن خطی مزین به حروفی دندانه دار و شاید هم انتظار خطوط کج و معوج و زشتی را داشتم. در روی نامه خطی معمولی بود البته به استثنای این که آخر کلمات قدری کشیده شده و این کار خواندن نامه را تا حدی دشوار می کرد.
