Dozens of Egyptologists have tried to find the tomb of Pharaoh Kih-Oskh and each one has disappeared in the process. Tintin and Ghost meet the mysterious and eccentric Egyptologist, Doctor Sarcophagus, and soon find themselves on the hunt. It becomes clear that the tomb contains much more than sand and mummies. They follow a clue - a symbol on a cigar band - and Tintin and Ghost collide with a gang of smugglers. The adventure takes them from Arabia to India and Tintin has to pull out all the stops to avoid ending up in the smugglers' web.
