Mustafa Hamed, known as Abulwaleed Al-Masri, is an Egyptian journalist and expert on political issues who has written several works about Afghanistan. Mustafa Hamed: He entered Afghanistan in 1979 and cooperated with some of the Afghan jihadi groups and parties. He had very close relations with many leaders of al-Qaeda, including Osama bin Laden, and he also cooperated with many famous Afghan jihadi leaders. After the end of the 14-year period of Jihad in Afghanistan and the victory of the Mujahideen, he cooperated with organizations such as Al-Qaeda and the Islamic Movement of Tajikistan... and he remained in this country until 2001 when the American military operation began in Afghanistan. He was close to Taliban leaders. After the beginning of the Egyptian revolution and the Islamic awakening in the region, in other words, the Arab Spring and the removal of "Mubarak" Mustafa Hamed, he returned to Egypt and is currently considered one of the thinkers and strategists of the Egyptian revolutionaries and has settled in the city of Alexandria, Egypt.

مصطفی حامد معروف به ابوالولید المصری روزنامه نگار و کارشناس مسائل سیاسی اهل مصر می باشد که تا کنون آثار متعددی پیرامون افغانستان به رشته ی تحریر درآورده است. مصطفی حامد : سال ۱۹۷۹ وارد افغانستان شد و به همکاری با برخی در از گروه ها و احزاب جهادی افغانستان پرداخت او با بسیاری از رهبران القاعده از جمله اسامه بن لادن روابط بسیار نزدیکی داشت و با بسیاری از رهبران سرشناس جهادی افغانستان نیز همکاری داشت. بعد از پایان دوران ۱۴ ساله ی جهاد در افغانستان و پیروزی مجاهدین او به همکاری با سازمان هایی مانند ،القاعده نهضت اسلامی تاجیکستان ... پرداخت و تا سال ۲۰۰۱ میلادی که عملیات نظامی آمریکا در افغانستان آغاز شد وی در این کشور باقی ماند و رابطه ی نزدیکی با رهبران طالبان داشت. پس از شروع انقلاب مصر و بیداری اسلامی در منطقه و به تعبیری بهار عربی و برکناری «مبارک» مصطفی حامد به مصر بازگشت و در حال حاضر به یکی از متفکرین و استراتژیستهای انقلابیون مصر شمار می رود و در شهر اسکندریه مصر ساکن شده است.
