حزب ايران كه اسناد و گزارش هاي اين مجموعه به معرفي و شناسايي آن اختصاص دارد، در دو مقطع مهم از تاريخ معاصر ايران صاحب نقش و تأثير بوده است. يكي، سالهاي مقارن با پايان جنگ دوم جهاني كه با پيش آمد بحران آذربايجان ايران در وضعيت دشواري قرار گرفت و ديگري، سالهاي نهضت ملي شدن صنعت نفت كه در خلال آنها نيز حزب ايران بيش از پيش نقشي تعيين كننده ايفا كرد.
