The author studies the impression of culture on the behavior of people in the society. While presenting various meanings of culture, he gives a complete and comprehensive concept of culture and tries to keep us away from every misunderstanding. Instructing between cultures is from one of the important characteristics of the present book. While mentioning cultural differences and normalizing them, "Triandis" askes his readers to prevent from misunderstandings that lead to an expensive cost (like war), through recognition and studying other cultures. In other words, the author tries to provide "union of nations" and "talks of civilizations" through instructing between cultures.

نويسنده در اين كتاب تأثير فرهنگ را بر نحوه برخورد و رفتار مردم در جامعه مورد بحث و بررسي قرار مي دهد. وي ضمن ارائه معاني مختلفي كه از فرهنگ شده است، معني كامل و جامعي از فرهنگ ارائه مي كند و مي كوشد كه ما را از هرگونه سوء تعبيري پرهيز دهد. از ويژگيهاي مهم ديگر اين كتاب، آموزش بين فرهنگي است. "تريانديس" ضمن ذكر تفاوتهاي فرهنگي و طبيعي جلوه دادن آنها، از خوانندگان خود مي خواهد كه با شناخت و مطالعه ديگر فرهنگ ها، از ايجاد سوء تفاهم هايي كه گاه به بهاي گران (چون جنگ) مي انجامد، جلوگيري كنند. به بيان ديگر، نويسنده با آموزش هاي بين فرهنگي قصد دارد موجبات "همبستگي ملتها" و "گفتگوي تمدن ها" را فراهم آورد
