"Manual of painting and calligraphy" is a novel related to the time before the "Clove revolution", which can be known a writing from the viewpoint of "political hegira" or the process of destroying self-compatibility. The painter who gradually misses his compatibility with the society intentionally or unintentionally and under the rule of military dictatorship, tries to reach a superior and more deserving phase of life through writing or trying to discover the truth.
