Fast Forward is a series of four courses for adult students of English attending intensive courses of 60-80 teaching hours. The courses are independent of each other, but are linked by syllabus, approach, and progression - from elementary to advaced level. Each course consists of two student's books which run in parallel: the Classbook, which evelops communicative skills within the classroom, and the self-study Resource Book, which allows students to pursue their studies, particularly of grammar, in their own time and at their own pace. Throughout Fast Forward the material is sopphisticated enough to appeal to the adult mind, even when the language level is quite basic. Fast Forward 3 is at upper intermediate level. This Classbook contains a student's Introduction (Thinking about Language Learning) and ten units in which the topics range from 'Holidays and Travel' to 'The Human Brain' and 'A Taste of literature'. The book offers a variety of texts, exercises and activities, and focuses on the skills of reading, listening and speaking, and on vocabulary acquisition. The accompanying Resource Book provides grammar summaries and exercises, and writing activities.
