Freedom is one of the most important fundamental goals of human rights and basic principles, as well as one of the most important political concepts. Regarding this word, over time, thinkers and theorists in different schools of the world, including different schools in Western societies, as well as Iranian Islamic schools and other schools, have presented different interpretations and definitions according to the conditions and requirements of human societies and their time. It is clear from the conducted investigations that all societies have considered freedom as an inseparable part of human societies, but they do not consider it absolute and have set limits for it. The idea of freedom has a history equal to the history of human thought, and this long history is full of debates and controversies about the nature and meaning of freedom. The greatness of the concept of freedom and the need to get acquainted with the historical evolution of this concept is so great that even the politicians and dictatorial and colonialist leaders of our time have acknowledged its importance, at least in language and appearance, but in principle, it has no value, position, and status. They did not and are not considered for it. Freedom is a concept that originally had a high and lofty position and value in politics, society, and humanity, but this concept has always undergone changes for the benefit of the colonialists of history, and this concept has been abused more than its real use. The upcoming book is a study that explains the concept of freedom and how the colonialists took advantage of it.
