Qiṣṣah'hā va Afsānah'hā: Dari (Farsi) 1402

Abdul Ghafoor Barshana (Kabul, 1352-1285), a painter, musician, and writer, studied painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin and Munich, Germany from 1302 to 1308. He returned to Afghanistan (1315) with different positions. He worked and for some time was the press and cultural attaché of the Afghan embassy in Tehran. He is more famous in Afghanistan as a painter and musician, and he called his painting style, which is a mixture of European painting and oriental miniature art, "simple realism". Besides painting and music, Breshna first turned to writing plays and also wrote short stories. Later on, Breshna paid more attention to folk and folk stories in his short stories, and his works are more in the scope of rewriting stories of native culture than stories. His works include the story of the opium road (Kabul/1346) and the collection of tales and legends (Kabul/1352).
