A seemingly happy and modern family goes on a recreational trip, although this trip should promise good days for this family. The author takes the father of the family on a mental journey in his past and the days when a bitter experience came into his life. Another form has been given. The author of The New Year, Juli Tse, born in 1974, is one of the famous German writers, and in 2019, he was awarded the Heinrich Bell Literary Award. The jury of this prestigious award emphasized in their statement that "Tse moves in his writings on the border between literature and politics, as well as poetry and truth, and his texts are full of messages such as the conflict between order and chaos." Masterful description of human situations in modern European life with short phrases and brief descriptions is another feature of this author. According to many German readers, this novel is considered Tese's best work.
