The book begins with a comprehensive biography of Sadiq Hidayat. After that there is a collection of writings, criticises and different aspects about "Three drops of blood"; then is the original text of the story and its follow is the English translation. It reminds that "Three drops of blood" is the name of a short story by Sadiq Hidayat, which has been published first time in 1932. In addition, the book has different works on his life, works and thoughts.

در آغاز كتاب، سرگذشت صادق هدايت و سال شمار تفضيلي آثار او آمده است. پس از آن مجموعه نوشته ها، نقدها و ديدگاه هاي مختلف درباره ي "سه قطره خون" گردآوري شده است؛ سپس متن اصلي داستان و در پي آن، ترجمه انگليسي درج گرديده است. يادآور مي شود سه قطره خون، نام داستان كوتاهي است از صادق هدايت به همين نام براي نخستين بار در سال 1311 انتشار يافت. افزون بر آن در كتاب، آثار مختلف در باب زندگي، آثار و عقايد هدايت معرفي و بررسي شده است؛ ضمن آنكه نمونه هايي از آنها فراهم آمده است.
