The collection of the peaks of the world's literature deals with the short and simple introduction of the most important literary works of the world from the classical era to the 20th century. "Augustine's Confessions" is the second book in this series. Augustine's Confessions, which was written around the fourth century AD, is considered one of the most important texts in the history of European culture. In this work, Augustine explains how and why he left his successful career and the personal pleasures of a completely secular life to devote his life to prayer and study, which led to a deep understanding of God and the Gospel. The confessional approach of this book is to "make history", in other words, to put Augustine's own experiences of religion, philosophy, and Christian faith against the politics, cultural and religious traditions of the classical world. In late antiquity, the classical heritage was changed and passed into the hands of Christian authors. Augustine's comments about how texts should be presented and read, how people respond to spoken and written language, and how they find echoes are discussed in recent critical theory. The world in which Augustine lived, the structure, style, and purpose of the confessions, the issue of rhetoric, and the truth that is raised by the author's personal search for himself, are all discussed in this eloquent introductory description. Chetrang Publishing has previously published Celine's Journey to the End of the Night from this collection. Augustine's Confessions was translated into Persian by Reza Alizadeh and Chetrang published it in 155 pages.
