The History of the Awakening of the Iranians is a book about the history of the Iranian Constitutional Movement written by Nazim-ol-Islam Kermani. Most of the book contains Nazim-ol-Islam's daily diaries from Dhu al-Hijjah 1322 AH to Rajab 1327 AH. In this book, he considers the beginning of the Iranian progress to be the period of the prime ministership of Amir Kabir and introduces Naser al-Din Shah and Mozaffar al-Din Shah as kings of a temperamental and naive nature. This work is one of the first-hand texts and important sources of research and study in the history of the Qajar dynasty before and after the Constitutional Revolution. Bringing the exact text of the telegrams, announcements, and correspondence exchanged between the leaders of the opposition and supporters of the movement is one of the superior features of this book, making it more documented and removing it from the state of mere memoirs or analysis without citing documents.
