Until now, the Crusades have been analyzed more from the Western perspective, and Europeans have studied it more than Muslims. Therefore, the historical role of the Ismailis (including the Fatimids of Mustalawi and the Nazarites of Iran and the Levant), especially the resistance and stability of the Fatimids of Egypt against the Crusaders, has been neglected. In this research, an attempt has been made to explain the real role of the Ismailis in the Crusades by exploiting historical texts and sources.

جنگ های صلیبی تاکنون بیش تر از منظر غربی تحلیل شده و اروپاییان پیش و بیش از مسلمانان آن را بررسی کرده اند. از این رو نقش تاریخی اسماعیلیان (اعم از فاطمیان مستعلوی و نزاریان ایران و شام) به ویژه مقاومت و پایداری فاطمیان مصر در مقابل صلیبی ها مغفول مانده است. در این پژوهش سعی شده، با بهره برداری از متون و منابع تاریخی، نقش واقعی اسماعیلیان در جنگ های صلیبی تبیین شود.
