Salient features of the present dictionary are as follows: 1- Variant spellings (both American and British) 2- Accurate pronunciations (American, British, etc) as recorded in Webster's New World College Dictionary 3- English and Persian sentences designed to show nuances of meaning and the way each word is actally used 4- Labels that reveal the field to which a word primarily belongs and the particular limitations of certain words 5- Special usages, idioms as well as derivatives of main entries. These are carefully defined and often supported by illustrative English and Persian sentences 6- Finally, believing that "one picture is worth a thousand words" I have tried to include as many illustrations as compatible with the book's intended size

ويژگيهاي ديكشنري زير عبارتند از: ١- املاي دقيق سر واژه ها (بريتانيايي و آمريكايي) و نشان دادن هجابندي هر واژه ٢- به كار بردن نشانه هاي آوايي علمي به منظور ارائه ي دقيق تلفظ (آمريكايي و بريتانيايي) ٣- استفاده ي گسترده از منابع گوناگون فارسي (واژه نامه ها، آثار ادبي، گويش هاي محلي و غيره) براي دستيابي به بيشترين و بهترين برابرهاي فارسي در مقابل سر واژه هاي انگليسي ٤- به كار گيري واژه هاي كليدي در جمله هاي انگليسي و فارسي براي نشان دادن سايه هاي معني و طرز كاربرد واژه در جمله ٥- به كار بردن بر چسب هاي لغوي براي آشكار نمودن زمينه و حوزه ي كاربردي واژه ٦- ارائه ي اصطلاحات عمده و مشتقات واژه هاي كليدي به همراه برابرهاي فارسي ٧- بهره گيري از صدها تصوير گويا براي رساندن هر چه بهتر معاني
