The autobiography of a young lesbian who leaves her missionary family in order to find herself. Anna Redsand was 16 when she heard her mother say of the neighbour women who lived together: “They should see a doctor.” She knew instantly that she would have to leave the security of her home. As that world faded, so did everything that had been religious or spiritual inside her. Would she discover or replace the religion she grew up with? Was there a place that could accept Anna as a whole and healthy person and a Christian committed to social justice? Forty years after taking leave, she decided to see if return was possible or whether too much had changed in her and too little in the church. This is a unique, memorable story.
