“Cinema Human Rights” is the first Persian-language film reference book dedicated to the field of human rights. Published in 2026 through a collaboration between Baran Publishing and the publishing division of the Shirin Ebadi Foundation, the book introduces and examines 100 of the most significant Iranian and international films centered on themes related to human rights. It represents an effort to connect cinema with historical memory, social awareness, and human experience.

Dedicated to the “Mothers of Justice”, the collection was published without the names of its author and designer due to security concerns. To honor the memory of victims and those who have struggled for freedom and justice, the creators have used the symbolic name “Mahsa Amini” as a pseudonym.

“Cinema Human Rights” is the first volume in an educational and research-oriented series published through the collaboration of the Shirin Ebadi Foundation and Baran Publishing. By examining cinematic works from the perspectives of human dignity, freedom, justice, individual rights, and resistance against discrimination, the book presents cinema as a powerful medium for understanding human experiences and reflecting the struggles and hopes of different societies.
