During the reign of queen Zenobia, the distinguished and visionary ruler of Palmyra, the kingdom experienced one of the most prosperous periods of the ancient world. Her era was marked by extensive military campaigns, the expansion of the Palmyrene Empire, flourishing trade and economic prosperity, and the remarkable growth of art, literature, and religious diversity.
As a powerful queen and an ambitious sovereign, Zenobia stood firmly against the Aurelian in her determination to preserve her authority and achievements. Yet after a series of defeats, she realized that overcoming him would require a different strategy. Her plan was bold and unexpected, but not impossible: with time running out, she was compelled to seek reconciliation with her longtime rival, Iran.
Although queen Zenobia passed away many centuries ago, this work offers an opportunity to honor her as a courageous and determined leader, devoted to her homeland and committed to principles of justice, civic responsibility, and what the author characterizes as democratic ideals.

دوران سلطنت شهبانو زنوبیا، ملکهی برجسته و وارستهی پالمیرا، یکی از پررونقترین دورههای تاریخ باستان بهشمار میآید؛ دورانی که با لشکرکشیهای گستردهی نظامی، گسترش قلمرو امپراتوری پالمیرا، رونق اقتصادی و تجاری، و نیز شکوفایی هنر، ادبیات و تنوع مذهبی شناخته میشود.
زنوبیا، بهعنوان زنی قدرتمند و فرمانروایی بلندپرواز، برای تثبیت قدرت و دستاوردهای خود در برابر امپراتور روم، اورلیان، ایستاد. اما پس از شکستهای پیاپی دریافت که برای غلبه بر او باید راهی دیگر برگزیند. نقشهاش عجیب و غیرمنتظره بود، اما ناممکن نبود: فرصتی برایش نمانده بود و ناچار میبایست با دشمن دیرینهاش، ایران، از در مدارا درآید.
اگرچه شهبانو زنوبیا قرنهاست که از دنیا رفته است، اما این نوشتار فرصتی فراهم میآورد تا به او، بهعنوان انسانی مبارز، شجاع، متعهد به میهن، علاقهمند به اصول دموکراتیک و.. ادای احترام شود.
