محکمهی آزادی حکایت نسلی است که در سایهی سنگین فرهنگ رسمی، به شکلی غیررسمی میزید. نویسنده رمانی گیرا خلق کرده است. او با جامعنگری و ریزبینی همزمان، برای غنا و پختگی رمانش به بسیاری از جزییات زیست ایرانیان نیز اشاره میکند. راوی درست در شبی که به دلایل شخصی قصد دارد به زندگیاش پایان دهد، توییت یکی از رفقای سالهای دورش میخواند که پیمانی قدیمی را زنده میکند.
